Where Can I Direct My Gift?
Body Copy:
You can give to any area of the University. There are specific funds that you can support, but it's up to you, and you have many choices-academic programs, scholarships, endowments, facilities, student support, the Millstein Library, the McKenna Center expansion, athletics, or the general fund. The following are several areas for which we are actively seeking funding.
UPG General Fund
Body Copy:
Gifts to the UPG General Fund are unrestricted gifts made by donors who wish to support campus-wide initiatives rather than specific projects. These "flexible" dollars allow UPG to fund immediate needs and encourage innovation and creativity among faculty, staff, and students.
By contributing to the UPG General Fund, you are supporting the entire university campus community. Your support demonstrates the confidence you have in our faculty, staff and students and helps them reach their professional and academic goals. These unrestricted dollars are vital to keeping UPG competitive with regional universities.

Expansion of McKenna Hall
Body Copy:
The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is seeking funding to support the expansion and renovation of McKenna Hall, the campus computer center. With an increasingly technological world, the computer center is becoming even more essential for academic life. This expansion will enlarge the 8,600 square-foot building into a 22,900 square-foot multi-use center, housing an enlarged computer department, audio-visual department, additional computer classrooms, a fine arts classroom, music practice rooms and a slide library, as well as additional faculty offices. The second floor will be built directly above the existing building, preserving campus greenspace.
Academic Programs
Body Copy:
Educational programs at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg focus on four core cardinal points: Academic Excellence, Service, Global Perspective, and Leadership. UPG seeks funding partners to fulfill its mission of providing students with educational opportunities that extend beyond the classroom. Your support will give students the chance to develop leadership, a sense of civic engagement and public service, global awareness, and a commitment to academic excellence.
President's Merit Scholarship
Body Copy:
Each year, UPG becomes the institution of choice for growing numbers of local students who have outstanding high school records. In order to attract and retain these students, UPG seeks to expand its ability to offer scholarships based on academic merit.
International Learning Opportunities (Students Studying Abroad)
Body Copy:
UPG has made a significant commitment to prepare its students to live and work in an increasingly interdependent world. A revised curriculum now requires every student to take courses in world cultures and international affairs. UPG's international initiative is growing. However, many UPG students cannot participate for financial reasons. Because the campus believes all students should have the chance to travel and study abroad, it is essential that funds be raised to help those who require support.
UPG Staff Association
Body Copy:
UPG's staff plays a vital role in keeping the University a top academic institution. Our staff are dedicated individuals whose work on campus and in the community help advance UPG's cardinal point of Service. Funds support related expenses for community service and also help to promote involvement for staff members.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much am I expected to give?
Body Copy:
Where and how much you give is a personal decision. Every gift is important. Modest gifts from individuals quickly add up to a huge and significant amount: more than $26,000 was donated during last year's campaign! Since the University is made up of many smaller, individual departments and programs, many of these units depend on outside help to fulfill their mission.
What if I give to the United Way?
Body Copy:
You can give to UPG through the United Way by designating the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. United Way acknowledges gifts of $50.00 or more to UPG. Theses gifts will be counted as your pledge toward our internal campaign. Simply attach a copy of your United Way pledge to the Partners in Excellence pledge card.
Are there other ways to give besides payroll deduction?
Body Copy:
While payroll deduction is the most simple, cost-effective way to provide ongoing support to the program(s) of your choice, it is by no mean the only way employees can give. Checks, gifts-in-kind, securities, and planned options such as bequests and trusts are all methods of supporting UPG, and they all count toward the Partners in Excellence campaign.
